This week’s episode is all about harm reduction. There’s a lot of stigma and misinformation surrounding harm reduction, in and outside of recovery spaces. In an effort to understand more about what harm reduction is, and is not, I sat down with an expert in harm reduction.  Dr. Delores Blackwell is a multijurisdictional licensed clinical social worker,  master addiction counselor,  certified trauma professional and a certified compassion fatigue professional. She has held numerous administrative and clinical positions within both the addictions and mental health disciplines. She is currently the Director of OASAS Services at Housing Works. She is also an adjunct professor at both Touro College and at Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work where she teaches advanced clinical courses and the practice lab.

If you are suffering with addiction, you do not have to suffer in silence or alone.
